I’d like to share some personal reflections as the nature of photography and portraiture creates a personal bond between me and my clients. These children have ignited my passion for the art of photography and more importantly, have directed me in a spiritual way. The images you are viewing tell a story of my journey and my search for peace and happiness.

Although I have no children of my own, I feel blessed each time I get to share yours for an afternoon. There were many times when the joy and energy of the kids were enough to keep me going, through hard times in the business, and when I felt like a lost soul in my personal life.

One summer I noticed something special about the children. They seemed to be connecting to something I could not, or chose not to. They were expressing themselves without words, their hands outstretched and even folded like a prayer. I noticed the children seemed to be communicating with someone even though there was no one around. I didn’t know what they were connecting with until I found Jesus.

Although we are all sinful by nature, children have a free spirit and have faith without question. Through the eyes of a child, I can see how God originally planned for us to experience life...
