Should I put Merry Christmas on my Christmas card?
If you are a Christian, the answer is yes. If you truly believe that the world needs Christ and you believe what the Bible says about Christ is true.
Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
1 Timothy 6:12
Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
Acts 2:38
Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
If you are Jewish, you wouldn't want to put something on your card that you don't believe in, unless it was just for the sake of American heritage, or freedom of speech.
If you are a messianic Jew, which means you are jewish and believe that Jesus is the messiah, the answer is yes. Messianic Jews believe that the old testiment writings point to Christ and these beliefs are referenced in the following scriputures...
If you are neither Christian or Jew, but of some other belief, you may want to use the phrase Merry Christmas for the American heritage, or just to exercize your freedom of speech. I'd like to share with you that Jesus died for all mankind to make a personal relationship with the Lord. The blood that was shed on calvary covers our sin and reconnects us to a holy God who wants to have a relationship with you. See the following...

Religion is man trying to reach God or getting to heaven by solely good works. True Christianity is God reaching out and loving mankind. Since God is pure and holy, we can not approach Him because we've all done wrong, so God sent Jesus to the world as an extension of himself to live as a man and to die for the sin of mankind. We can approach God if we accept by faith what Jesus has done for us and that connection is restored. If you are interested in having this personal relationship with God, pray the following prayer with sincerety of heart and Jesus will come into your life and give you a clean slate to start a new. Christians call it being "born again".
If you would like a new lease on life and would like to be a slave no more to the world, pray to have a personal relationship with Jesus, just say this prayer from your heart, then share it with someone or (our studio). We would love to hear if you’ve been touched by our work in some way.
Pray:
"Father, I know that my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and I want to turn from my
past and live for you. Thank you for your forgiveness and the price you paid by sending Jesus to pay
the penalty in my place. I believe that Jesus is alive and was resurrected from the grave and that you
hear my prayer.
Jesus I invite you to become the Lord of my life, in every area. I relinquish my rights to get even with
others and make you Lord in all areas so I can be an overcomer and sin will not rule over me. Please
send your Holy Spirit to help me to be obedient. Help me to connect with Godly relationships and throw off every thing that hinders my walk with you. You are Lord of my life now, the devil may try to say I'm still his, but I can always point to this moment and know that you're cleansing me from the inside out. I commit the rest of my life to you.
In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."
